I will survive

So I admit I was wrong. In regards to Jason leaving me alone the past few days, it really wasn't that bad. The kids and I do well when we are on our own. Brooklyn slept with me every night as expected, but it was good. I am glad he was only gone two days though, I really needed some adult interaction other then over the internet. This too will change I'm sure once we get to know other people. Unfortunately, the Dutch aren't overly friendly. It's hard to even get a smile from someone on the street. I wonder if it is because there is such a mix of cultures here. Are the Dutch just tired of the invasion from other countries? We haven't even met the people that share the otherside of our house. They are a Dutch family with what appears to be two older sons. The have a ping pong table in their backyard, so I am shocked Jason hasn't made his move yet. We've met the people on the otherside of us. They are from Pennsylvania and have been here two and a half years. With it being summer though, they are gone for about three weeks. There oldest son is looking at colleges back home. Now across the street from us is a potential babysitter (I think). She looks about the right age and may be American. On the same note, I did try to call the girl that was recommended to us, but I got her voice mail.
Well, things are way too quiet upstairs for the kids not to be up to something so I better go!
